Sonia Gariaeff

Sonia Gariaeff has received critical praise throughout the United States for her theatrical poise and vocal opulence. A three-time Metropolitan Opera Awards regional finalist, she received her Master's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Further studies involved an apprenticeship with Portland Opera, and a fellowship with the Carmel Bach Festival. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she believes a healthy vocal technique can be applied to all styles of music. She particularly enjoys teaching musical theatre, pop and jazz in addition to classical voice. A former nanny and preschool teacher, she also enjoys teaching children beginning and intermediate piano.
