Nicholas has been composing and performing on various instruments for over ten years. He is studying musics of the world at San Francisco State University. He is most proficient on guitar, piano, saxophone, and drums; and plays several more instruments. Nicholas also teaches the Drums!
Drew Brown is a dedicated teacher, performer and composer. Working with beginners to advanced students, his mission is to help his students with their specific interests while expanding their guitar skills and spreading the joy of music. He is well-versed in teaching all types of music as well as sight-reading, music theory, and jazz improvisation. He will bring his students' understanding of music and guitar playing to the next level by creating custom lesson plans based on individual interests and goals.
Drew is a graduate of The New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City. Drew has studied with world-renowned teachers including Frank Portolese, Vic Juris, Steve Cardenas and Adam Levy. Drew is an active performer in the Bay Area, performing at venues such as Great American Music Hall, The Independent, and Rickshaw Stop. He has toured throughout the United States and Canada, including multiple music festivals such as SXSW in Austin, TX. His latest release with the band Waterstrider is on producer Danger Mouse's record label, 30th Century Records/Columbia. On their last tour, they opening up for the acclaimed band Pixies.
Lorenzo is an exceptionally talented guitarist and drummer who has completed his studies at San Francisco State University, where he earned his Degree in Jazz Studies. He picked up guitar and drums at an early age, studying music theory and technique with individuals such as Tommy Armstrong-Leavitt (smartguitaronline.com) and Brian Schlegel. His versatile skills have allowed him to perform with a wide variety of bands and musicians. Lorenzo’s diverse musical tastes and creative teaching methods allow him to tailor every lesson to each individual. He is adept at teaching the necessary fundamentals of music and technique while incorporating the musical interests of his individual students.
'Phil studied Clarinet and Piano under the Royal School of Music in the UK, and played 1st Alto Sax with the prestigious Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra. He then proceeded to study Music and Performing Arts at University in London. After university he played in two successful bands touring the UK and Europe before moving to San Francisco to become a composer, songwriter and sound designer for theatre.'
